diagram for top pull down cables?

I'm replacing the top on my 77 and it appears the one I took off had no cables at all. Maybe they had been cut off, but there was no sign of any cables, so I'm wondering how these get situated exactly and where they attach.
I see a likely hole at the front of the convertible top frame, just before the front bow.
So I'm guessing a loop goes in there and then the thing gets fed down a side sleeve and then anchored somewhere in back.
Does anyone know of any visual aids for this?
A video would be great but a still shot of the 2 attachment locations would be awesome too.
thanks very much- I would be completely stuck without this forum.

I found these shots in my old files that might be of use to you. My Spider is a CS1 (1976).

thank you Curly!
wow, I didn't know a response that good was possible! that gives me exactly what I need to figure this out.
I've got everything cleaned up, painted and ready to go, but had no clue about any of the cable stuff.
makes perfect sense now.
awesome- thanks again

Update: the top is on. It looks pretty good, seems to fit very well, but I have yet to attache the cables in back. I did manage to get them fed through the sleeves with a tomato planet stake since they had left out the lead string. I have them attached to the bow in makeshift fashion that Ill have to improve tomorrow, but I had a last question (I think) about how the cable attaches in back.
IN the place where it is supposed to get clamped, there is a bare spot with what looks like 2 very small mounting holes for screws I guess. I'm guessing a little flat plate that just tightens down flat with the 2 screws would work. Seems like whatever clamps there needs to be pretty flat.

Do you know if there is a piece of hardware that I can buy that attaches there as the cable clamp?
Or do I need to fabricate something? Like a little flat piece with a couple holes drilled in it?
Do you happen to know if those 2 little holes are threaded for a special size screw?

I'm also toying around with looping it around that hold down bar attachment, but it would be hard to tighten and I'm not sure I want to put any up pressure on that thing.
OK, time to relax for a bit before getting back to it.
cheers

I figured out a pretty simple way to tighten and secure the tension cables if there is no clamp mechanism. Where I'm guessing some kind of little clamp, maybe even just a little plate is supposed to go, I have a bare spot with 2 holes for mounting something. You could fabricate a little plate, or you could go even simpler with about 60 cents of hardware (total- both sides).
On each side I have a stubby sheet metal screw with a flat washer and a lock washer in one of those 2 mounting holes.
Then I took the cable and put one clockwise wrap around the screw while holding the cable tight with a needle nose pliars- insert the pliars in the hole just behind the mounting area and use the leverage to turn the pliars to tighten the cable. When you get the desired tightness, when the flap becomes snug, tighten the screw down with the other hand.
2 screws, 2 flat washers and 2 lock washers= about half a buck- and it looks like it will hold just fine
