I have previously posted on my exercise to redraw/generate a complete wiring diagram for my 1985 pininfarina spider and display it on the web as a pan and zoomable webpage. That post is located here.

I have been making good progress and am almost ready to post an update for the file and much improved javascript for navigating the large diagram. However I need some help from the FiatSpider.com community. There are two components listed on the individual wiring diagrams that I can't place in the 'full car' diagram because I don't know where these two components are. They are the ENGINE OVERHEAT WARNING SWITCH and the TEMP GUAGE RESISTOR. I know the panning and zooming is not so great on that last post, however if you are patient and can pan the car over and slowly zoom out you will see these two components to the left and outside of the cars outline because I didn't know where to put them on the diagram.
Here is segment of the diagram where they are listed. Can anyone help me locate these components on my car? Where are they on your car? Perhaps you can even reply with a picture?
Any help is much appreciated.

Re: help locating components
your overheat sensor is one of the 2 sensors in the middle of the head between the spark plugs. I'm not sure which is which. one is the gage sensor and the other one the overheat sensor. Not sure on this one, but i think the resistor is internal in the gage.

Re: help locating components
The resistor in my 81 was held in a plastic thingie that looked exactly like a blue in line fuse holder Up close to firewall in the footwell and had grren -white wires leading to it. I binned it 'cos PO had removed the sensor swicth from the head . Chri s

OOOOhhhh. So that's what that was. I was always confused about that thing because it was such a weird looking fuse. I'll update my wiring diagram and post a picture here. Thanks.
