i noticed a black metal plate underneath the passenger side dash and unscrewed it.

what is all the stuff attached?

should i be worried about the thingie on the bottom left of the picture that is obviously disconnected?

this is the plate where all the relays reside. the newer the car the more relays. Many of them are for safety bells and whistles.

The disconnected one is the 'key in the ignition' buzzer. I am not surprised that it is disconnected, as it makes the most annoying sound...

There is the double module relay ( ignition ) , the wiper intermittent , the seat belt buzzer, the relay for the horn and I think I didn't forget any components.

On a '75 most of those relays would be in the engine compartment. They did not move them to the tray under the glovebox until mid 1977.

I've got some relays in the engine compartment and some under the tray. I did reconnect the ignition buzzer briefly and understood immediately why it had been disconnected.
