Fuel Pump Wiring

Replaced my fuel pump and now my '81 2000 FI won't start. Black wire to (+) pos and tan wire to (-) neg on starter?

According to my electrical manual:

3 wires connect to terminal #30 on the starter solenoid: brown, black, and green(from battery)
1 red wire connects to terminal #50 on the starter. The starter motor grounds by contact.

For the fuel pump: black/white to negative, green/black to positive

Thanks wizard124. It's the fuel pump I'm working on. Oops on the starter reference. Thanks for the wiring info on the fuel pump.
