I bought my 84 spider from a dealership that was outside of Aviano Air force base in Italy, they sold many spiders to the airmen when I was station there , anyone out there bought their's from the same place?

Can't say I bought a Spider from the place you mention, but I was actually discharged from the Air Force at Aviano AB. Geez, that was 1983! Yikes! The guy probably wasn't even there then. Heck, he might not have been born yet!

I was stationed at Decimomannu AB in Sardinia, Detachment 4, 40th Air Group. What a great duty station! Only 75 Americans stationed there and it was an island paradise in the middle of the Med. Ahhhh, what great memories! Are there Americans stationed there these days?

Did you bring your Spider home with you?

I bought the spider August of 1984 and brought it back ,looks almost like it did new today .My Wife was also in the Air Force and went T.D.Y. to the base you were station at in Sardinia, she was in Communication.I don't know if the base still there satelites made a lot of the communication installations obsolete
