Seat upholstery

Post by Leonard124 »

Hello,
I am just beginning to install my new seat upholstery and I do not know how
it was set up originally.
My front seat backs had a steel rod that ran horizontally and were secured to
the seat frame with 3 rubber bands.
The new seat covers have the provision for the horizontal rod, but they also
made 2 channels on each side out of fabric that run vertically. I have tried
to see if my old seat covers(original) have these channels, but I do not see
any.
Question is...are the sides of the front seat backs also held down with a
steel rod?

Thanks
Leo

Thanks Jay!

Found what I was looking for.
After going through the pictures...I saw how they are anchored down.

I will post pictures once I finish up my front seats.
