Hi everyone from Round Rock, Texas!
I've been perusing this site since I picked up my first Spider, a '71, last year and have found so much information it is great! I love all the knowledge and sharing here. I've been trying to learn all I can, reading posts on things I know I need to fix and have a good idea on parts sources, due mainly to this site. I'm now beginning actual work!
I hadn't done any work beyond basic teardown/cleanup to the '71 as I was looking for a parts car for several must have items (windshield, hood, trunk lid...). Well, I found a parts car, a '77, but it's in better shape overall, and with the bigger engine, has now become the primary project car. It needs very little - floorpans, seat rails, a good derusting and paint...brakes, top, dash...you know the drill...
I'll say that I am not a "newbie" to working on and restoring things. I've restored several motorcycles, have always worked on cars (not much body work though and not recently), and have a somewhat capable collection of tools and equipment, so there's not much I'm not ready for. Spider specific advice and counsel are what I will need the most.
Anyway - I'm happy to have found this site and look forward to collaborating on our chosen restoration "careers"!

Aha! Apparently you can't share from Microsofts Onedrive, even though it is cloud-based.
Thanks for the links Pete, appreciate it.

Ran the chassis and engine numbers today. The car is a California car, the engine is from 49 state car. Other than that valve thingy it appears the rest of the emissions stuff is already gone. And now so is the valve.
