Belt size for new Allison Automotive alternator

I'm finishing up install of 95 amp alternator conversion from Allison Automotive. Very easy so far except the belt size. Has anyone had luck on the right size. My engine is a 2.0 L 1979. Tried the 1 inch shorter from oem belt and no luck.

is the 1" shorter belt too long or too short?
