I noticed my hood is crooked and catching the left side leaving a tiny scrape. How do I adjust it? Can the hood latch be causing it to shift when it is shut? Is the adjustment in the hood hinge mechanism?

It looks like you are really close, Glen. First thing to do is look at the seam gap with the hood resting on the latch, but not all the way down. watch the gap as you latch the hood to see if it pulls one way or the other. It looks like you've already tried this as you have the latch moved all the way to the left. It may also be beneficial to remove the latch or pin so the hood can go all the way down without the latch. You can adjust the hinges to add to the DS gap and decrease the PS gap. you can do this by barely loosening the 2 hinge bolts on one side move it either forward or back til satisfied. Great caution to be used here, as the hinge will also allow up and down movement as well. Best to use a pencil or something to mark the original hinge location on the body so you can visually keep track of the adjustment. Also any adjustment you make will change the nose alignment with the fender and the cowling gap. You will never get perfect as it is always a compromise. You want the hinge bolts to be just loose enough that you can move the hood with a whack from your hand and will stay put after that. Good luck.
BTW, tape the fenders with masking tape at the gap so you wont chip the paint while you are fooling around.
