Bolt size for transmission lower bell housing plate

My '81 was missing the lower bellhousing flywheel inspection cover. I got the cover but I'm not sure what bolts to buy to replace the missing ones. Does anyone know what size? Essentially I'd like to be able to go to Home Depot and pickup the bolts but I'm not sure what size/thread/length. Also I guess I should probably use lock washers and stainless bolts.

I am pretty sure they are 6mm x 1(pitch), maybe 15mm or shorter length. HD is where I got mine.

Sorry, forgot to answer your other questions:
Lockwashers yes, but not sure about using stainless steel? One would think ss would prevent corrosion, but when any two dissimilar metals are put together you run the risk of galvanic corrosion. If I am interpreting this table correctly, http://www.corrosionist.com/galvanic_co ... _table.htm
mild steel and aluminum would be less likely to corrode together than ss and aluminum.

Maybe we have a chemical engineer in the group that can confirm that?

There are two 6x1.00mm and two 8x1.25mm.
Former about 10mm, latter about 15mm long.

Got the bolts and installed the inspection cover. Fits great. Only problem is that one of the threads on the bellhousing cover was somewhat stripped (ie. catches and then lets go when torquing down the bolt). I put thread lock on the bolt and tightened as best I could. Other 3 bolts are tight though so should be ok.
