Gear Oil leak rear passenger wheel

So get this, I just finished swapping a new diff in my car, filled her up with gear oil and let her sit overnight but when came out this morning to take her out and give her a wash I noticed a leak from the rear passenger wheel and sure enough it was fresh gear oil.



I know for sure the snap ring was in place when I put it back together but it leaked quite a bit. Anyone have any ideas? I just put in a new diff and it was not cheap so I don't want this one to go bad
