instrument restoration

Post by spider2081 »

Does anyone know of an instrument shop that can clean the instruments from my 81 Spider 2000.

Is there a way to open the stock instruments with out damaging the bezels.

Very gently pry off the bezel from the back side of the gauge. A tiny flat blade screwdriver works well. You can do this once or maybe twice before the bezel is ruined. Your restoration will last a lot longer if you don't drive at night. The gauges are prone to condensation from the light bulb, and every time there's condensation, a little more haze sticks to the glass.
