This is becoming an overwhelming task.

The floor boards have to be replaced, the transmission pops out of third gear and needs to be rebuilt. Suspension needs rebuilding along with the front passenger side brakes.

The repair expenses are mounting high and I am looking for parts at reasonable prices.

Unneeded parts that are collecting dust on a shelf, that you want to sell.

Here is what I am looking for.

1. All ball joints, tie rods and bushings.

2. Passenger side floor board.

3. Passenger side seat rails.

4. POR 15 - full or partial can.

5. Black convertible top.

6. Heat shield blankets for the floor boards.

7. Driver side metal seat frame.

8. Driver side seat rail.

9. Transmission cable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of the stuff can be had from one of the vendors. I think control arm bushings are like 8-9 bucks. AR has the floor boards and seat rails. These guys also have them: http://www.alfaparts.net/. Floor boards are on eBay all the time for even less money if you ar patient Derby auto parts). I dont think anyone here is going to "short sale" their project parts unless they are getting rid of the car. Never say never, but you are probably off better buying the steering componenets new from one of our reliable vendors (AR and IAP to name a couple) Unless you have no top on your car, I would purchase new as well. I know the old one I took off of our car was not worth the shipping cost to send to someone else. These guys are pretty good: http://www.convertibletopguys.com/. I have their top and boot. Both good quality. I did add additional padding to the boot out of personal preference, and you will need your own hardware.

I have to agree with seabeelt there are just some things you should not buy used.....have you tried NAPA or another Local parts supply house a lot of the basic suspension parts are still stocked. For your interior parts look on Craigslist or ebay. These cars can be daunting to fix all at once, focus on one part of the car...suspension, engine, seats and break it down to more manageable bites.

I have a serious amount of money and time in my car but I have spread it over 4 years as I could afford it, all the while keeping an eye out for good deals.

If your car is unsafe or beyond your budget or skill level to repair maybe you should look around before you sink to much into it and see if you can find another spider with less issues.

There is no feeling like resurrecting one of these cars they have great looks and are fun to drive!! Good luck!!
