New Member from San Francisco

Hi All, I am the original owner of a 1980 Spider 2000. I bought my Spider in January 1980, in Chicago. It has traveled with me since that time, New York City, and now San Francisco. I have the carb version with 5 speed tranny. 68,000 carefully driven miles. My spider is in very good shape mechanically, and it has been serviced by one mechanic here in SF for the last 28 years.
Even the dashboard clock still keeps perfect time!
My goals are to do a restoration of the body, with a repaint, repair of a front fender dent, repair of the vinyl interior, and mods to the engine as needed. Am thinking of converting to fuel injection if possible, as carb rebuilds are getting harder to get done.
I'm going to use this board as a resource as I go forward with this project. I've loved every day of spider ownership, and it's nice to get connected with other enthusiasts.
