Hi there
I have a 1979 spider and this morning, out of the blue ,my turn signals started to work funny.
At first they didn't work then they were flashing very slow.
Tonight I noticed that if the lights are on at the same time with either one of the turning signal, all the rear light bulbs (both, left and right) are flashing all together. If the lights are off the signals are working (some times it takes few second to start flashing)
Is there anybody that could give me some advice on what to check about this issue?
Looking forward to your suggestions
Thank you
elcanadeso

If you have the round, push-button flasher, it could be the flasher itself. start with the grounds.

Thanks for your prompt reply
I will try to check some of the ground connections before going to work.
I will post the result later.

Hi there
I just went to the garage and the first thing I checked was the ground of the rear left light in the trunk.
It was a bit rusted. I cleaned it and put a coat of electrical paste.
At the moment it looks like everything is working fine.
Let's keep the fingers crossed.
Thank you once again for your suggestions.

Re: turn signals and lights flashing all together
There have been some that suggest getting a pack of #8 or #10 stainless steel star washers and putting them between the body and the ground connectors at every mounting point after cleaning everything up and putting a dab of electrical grease in place. The star washers should give a bit more bite for a better connection is the thought behind this.elcanadeso wrote:Hi there

So far so good with those lights and signals
I was thinking to clean all the connections and put those star washer in few weeks since I have some time off.
Beside repainting all floor.
But something major happened.
