So I have almost completed the interior and everything just about works except the radio. It had been rewired by the PO so I wired it back to stock. But now it doesn't work. I know it has plenty of power since I checked it with a multimeter. Before I buy a new radio I wanted to ask. I have power, ground and speaker wires all wired up. I discarded a yellow wire that was going to the ignition switch when I replaced the ignition switch. I don't believe that wire was stock . Is it necessary for the radio? Could that be what is causing the radio not to turn on? Here is a picture of the yellow wire with the old ignition switch.

Re: Premier radio wiring.
typically with the newer car radio's there is a red and a yellow that requires power, one is hot at all times and the other is switched from the accessory position on the ignition switch (which we do not have on our cars) so usually come from the ignition power source. At this point I can't remember which is which but you get my drift. On my 80 I used the door key chime circuit as my switch to the radio so I can listen to it without the ignition being on. (also have since removed all that door chime stuff, it soo annoying (I guess it's meant to be to remind you to put on your belt??)))
Cheers David

I used the always hot from the cigar lighter. The switched lead came from the original wiring radio circuit.

The yellow wire needs to be connected to constant +12V. The red wire needs to be connected to switched 12V. The yellow wire provides power to the radio memory.

Thanks for all your help.
Great advice wizard124. I decided to use the power for the cigarette lighter. So it's al'gud now! I don't smoke and if ever I should want to use the lighter it wouldn't take much to get it working.
