Dash blinkers not working.

Post by scubachris »

Hey y'all,

I changed out all my light bulbs in the dash and my blinker's are still not working. Tomorrow I will check to see if they are getting power but in the meantime what could be causing them not to blink in the dash.

Thanks

If your turn signal lights work but the dash turn signal indicator does not work the most likely cause other than the light bulb is the flasher is either defective or the wrong type for the car.

Thanks for the answer.

Ok, is the hazard switch on the same flasher as the blinkers because that works.

I'm not sure of the year change but early cars have 2 flashers and later cars have a single flasher. I believe if you have a round flasher switch with the internal light you have a single flasher. If you have a hazard switch with a separate light you have 2 flasher assemblies. I believe the signal flasher is located to the right of the steering column under dash. It needs to be a 3 prong flasher. I would purchase it from a Fiat parts vendor.

the aftermarket flashers at your local auto part house do not match the terminal pattern for your fiat. (looks the same, but require the wires be relocated in the socket. get one from a vendor.

Even if it is the same part number that the online Fiat stores are selling?
