Radio only works when brights are on??

So simple and straight forward.

When my brights are not on, my radio gets no power. When they are flicked on, my radio gets power.

What could be the issue??

Sounds like some PO tapped into the high beam circuit for radio power, you will have to rewire it properly.

I had a similar radio quirk when switching on the headlights but only randomly. It took me a year to figure out a poor ground on the battery terminal.. Visually it looked okay but the wire was loose enough to tighten with a wrench.
