Talking about a 1977 Spider. Right by my condenser i have these wires with connectors. One wire is red and blue. the others are black.
Can anyone identify them?
Also coming from the solenoid on the carburetor i have this long red wire. The solenoid is connected and operating but this
extra wire looks like it has been spliced on. Any thoughts.

Re: Whats this?
You should take a look at Brad Artigue's wiring diagrams. If your alternator is on the left hand side, look at the '78 diagrams.
The solenoid on the carburetor just gets switched power, so if another wire is spliced in, it's just switched power. Not sure for what.

Download the diagram:

18/6 (Blue / Red wire ) Thermostatic switch for diverter valve by-pass system (first diagram, upper left, it actually is typed "18-6"). This connects to 190/1 Diverter valve by-pass control valve, which is grounded by the black wire.
