95 amp alternator/ '82 Spyder

After having fried my alternator, I elected to purchase the 95 amp unit from Auto Ricambi. The installation went well, but the wiring is another question. My original unit had two wires bolted on, so that was no problem. The original had another wire connected to a male plug, which was plugged into the body however, and there's no like place to plug it in on the 95. The wire from the original with the plug is dark in color, wheras the 95 offers a plug with 3 wires coming off it. They're white, yellow and green with a brown stripe on it. Any one with an '82 who's dealt with this issue?

You my friend, have saved the day. I have to say that the directions that came with the 95 weren't the clearest as far as the wiring, and it was hit or miss for some, but nowhere did they say what to do with that elusive yellow wire waving in the breeze. Your picture of your hooked up alternation turned on the lightbulb in my head and....viola! The charging light went out on the dash and we're in business! Perhaps the bad alternator was a good thing in the long run, because after I hooked it all up and started the engine I found a fuel line spraying gas like Old Faithful Saved me from a major fire.
