Compression numbers...

Post by radiopilot »

What are good compression numbers for each cylinder?
If you get low readings on one cylinder what does that mean... a faulty valve, valve seat, valve seal, etc.

The shop manual is great and has tons of info except what good compression values are for a stock engine.

well my numbers were
1 112
2 125
3 120
4 105
when I got it a few weeks ago and it runs great. You didn't post yours.
Lost compression can be from a ring, or valve related or head gasket problem too.
1978 Spyder 1800 make that 2L! Finally making real progress!
