Hey all. I recently picked up a '78 CS1. Needs some body work. Mechanical isn't too bad - drove it about 160 miles already. Recently developed a fuel leak, so I have that to sort out. Located in Western NYS.
New to FIATs in general, let alone the Spider. Looking forward to getting her into top notch shape. Plans are to sort the basic systems and begin addressing the body. Then I'll proceed to brakes and suspension with the interior at that time and hopefully get around to doing an engine build with a dual carb swap and some hipo cams.
Already picked up a set of turbo wheels off ebay to replace the nonfactory wheels that were on there and swapped out the door catches for new ones to keep from damaging the fenders any further. It quite obviously had a sub par respray at some point in its life, but that we can take care of.
