Vacuum leak detection

Post by rjkoop »

I wanted to ensure no vacuum leaks on my '81. Anyone use the fog machine method? Seems safe and easy.

Not a bad idea...if you do this you'll always have smoke coming out of the charcoal canister - it has an air inlet - and if your air filter is off smoke will come out of the AFM's air bypass chamber.

Seems like Suzukis leak in the same spot as FIATs...

I might try it. Only use my fog machine 1 day each year anyways. :) Maybe I'll be organized enough to take a video.
