Hello. The previous owner of my '72 removed the center console and tossed it along with the hazard switch. I've since picked up a new switch and wiring diagrams for the car. My problem is, the diagrams don't show what wire goes where on the switch. I understand there are 5 wires that go to it, but there are 8 prongs on the switch and labeled with letters.
If someone could post a pic of the backside of their connected switch so that I could see what wire goes where on the switch that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: Hazard switch wiring
Are you sure you have the right year switch. I think the 72 has a six prong switch. I might be wrong. Is the switch round, square or more rectangular with the word hazard on it. The older switches should be more rectangular with hazard written on it.

I assume I have the right one. I just purchased it new from autoricambi, got the one listed for my year. I just assume the other leads don't get used.TX82FIAT wrote:Are you sure you have the right year switch. I think the 72 has a six prong switch. I might be wrong. Eternally grateful if someone could pop their switch out and take a few pics so I could see what color wire goes where.
Have a good holiday all.

I had the same problem when I ordered the new switch. Luckily, I ran into Csaba Vandor at the 2014 FFO, and he talked me through part of the solution.
Hope this helps.....
