1984 Azzura Heater, Dash, Console, Carpet and Upholstery

Hi this is my first post. I just bought a 1984 Azzura yesterday and first on my list is to clean up the interior and fix the heater at the same time.

Here are the parts I think I need was hoping to get opinions on what is best to buy and where to get them:

Heater - not working.
* Assuming I need to buy a new core and valve. Is there anything else I should buy and replace while I am in there?
* best place to buy the parts?

Dash - has the standard cracks near the vents on top.
* Thinking a dash cap is the way to go. Is that a good or bad decision?
* best places to buy?

Console - small cracks as well
* Thinking a console cap is the way to go. Is that a good or bad decision?
* best places to buy?

Carpet
* The car is painted black and has the standard tan interior.
* Anyone have some opinions on carpet color?
* best places to buy

Upholstery
* Color is standard Tan Tears in both Driver and Passenger seat
* Any opinions on keeping the standard color or other colors that have looked good?
* buy a kit (if so which one is best) or go to a local upholstery shop (in either way looking to go with Leather)
* or crazy idea, would the new fiat 124 spider seats fit? Saw a pair or lusso seats on ebay for $500
