Tramsmission shift stick feels sloppy

Post by BammBamm »

Its time for a new clutch but i have also noticed that the shifter seemed more sloppy than usual. I have done the shifter cup replacement part set. What should i be looking for as worn parts to do with the shifter?

It is usually caused by this part being worn:

Hi
Recently spent the winter wrestling with a rattly change , finally fixed it . See my long thread in this section .
Key points: installed a short throw shifter ; gives a nicer action and eliminates one potential source of noise
Added the anti rattle spring which was not present when I stripped the gear shift
Result , no noise , short precise shifts >
Good luck
