Alternatives to chrome bumpers

I have a 1970 spider that I am restoring. More of a restomod really. It has "chrome" bumpers, but the years (including three in Germany) have taken their toll on the chrome. I want the bumpers, but I don't really want the chrome, so I'm looking for alternatives. Ideas so far are thermal ceramic coating, which gives a kind of stainless look, plasti dip in aluminum or titanium, or chrome paint, which kind of defeats the whole idea. Have any of y'all out there done anything similar to your bumpers? FYI, rechroming here in the Phoenix area is just about identical to buying new ones, but cost is not really the issue.
Thoughts?

some on the forum have tried stainless steel.
I saw a pair here in MEL AUS shipped in from EU. They looked great but cost seemed a bit steep. I guess might be cheaper in US.

Re the stainless ones, maybe, if I can't come up with a look I want more. As far as the used ones, they would work, but again, they're chrome (plus with shipping to Phoenix, we're talking close to new)

There are some really fantastic wraps and vinyl these days ... might be too much radius for the metallic vinyl though, but I had though about it in the past since mine are rusted and flaking.
