any thoughts about fuel injector cleaners life stp etc worth it or waste of money

Preparing to pull the injectors and send them out to a shop in Fitchburg. I have heard that some of the cleaners may do more damage than good?

Sea Foam works really well, if anything short of a professional cleaning will do the trick. They also make a very good penetrating fluid for rusty bolts - Deep Creep.

Short of a fuel rail mounted cleaning system Berrymans B12 Total Fuel System Cleaner is the way to go and a few notches above Seafoam and most of the others.
When I come across a system that was not treated regularly and Seafoam doesn't make a difference then Berrymans is what I turn too. If everything is really badly impacted you may have to go as high as 2 or 3 ounces of Berrymans per gallon of fuel.
There is an awful lot of lousy fuel out there and if you are opportunistic and purchase fuel at one of the off brand bargain stations you may be getting the dregs from the bottom of the tanks at the fuel depots that nobody else wants. They may try to dress it up or polish it but many times they are draining the last gallons of old barely usable fuel from multiple tanks at the fuel depot to make up a single load for some of these minor brand stations.
Realistically if you use your Spider regularly you should be treating the fuel every 4th fill-up/monthly and if its not being driven regularly then at every fill-up. If the fuel sits in the car for months before refueling then you really need to consider a stabilizer such as Lucas Fuel System Stabilizer/Ethanol Treatment or StarTron.
