Hi guys,
So planning to replace the input shaft bearing on my tranny, and i see that there is also a needle bearing inserted into the end of the input shaft which the main shaft runs in. My question is:
if the input shaft bearing between the bell housing and the tranny case is removed, can the input shaft be pulled out so that the needle bearing can be replaced? I don't think there are any shifter forks in the way, and i don't know if the gear meshing will make it hard but I am sure someone can tell me.
If not then i assume the entire tranny has to be disassembled (a bigger mess on the dining table)
thanks in advance.

PS MattVAS - yes i did support the vendors for the bearings, seals and clutch stuff.....even with the exchange and freight to the frozen north.
