Hello all!
I am a long time sports car mechanic living in North Carolina (near Asheville). I hope via this into is to give away some FIAT body parts in whole. Please excuse my honesty in that I am mostly an MG / Jag owner and fan, but I did rescue a strange FIAT project here a few years ago that I would like to GIVE away to anyone. It is a 1974 ish complete 1800 Spyder body with top, all glass, and sheet metal in very good shape (especially hood and doors). Unfortunately, it was a welded on top of a Miata chassis when I purchased several years ago it if you can image that (pictures forthcoming). Anyway, I bought it for the Miata drivetrain, axles, etc which I have since removed - so what is left is a shell for parts sitting intact on a piano dolly. I was thinking of keeping if for a platform for an EV conversion, but I bought a boat recently and need the space. Please advise as to what I should do with this and how to best navigate those of you that I am sure want to preserve this kind of resource. I joined the forum just to reach out and see if anyone would want to save this body before it gets scraped, which I am not wanting to do but must if want to preserve domestic tranquility. I need it to all go at once, and it would just take a larger landscape trailer to move it.
New Member hoping to save a FIAT body
