So I've got engine ready to hoist out. How do I mount it onto stand ? From back of engine.. clutch side ? If so, is it not difficult to remove clutch this way? I've used a stand a few years back but can't remember order lol
Thanks for any help.
Which way does engine mount into engine stand ?

Re: Which way does engine mount into engine stand ?
Most people mount the engine from the rear using the 4 bolt holes that held the engine and bellhousing together. For the clutch, you could first lower the engine onto some thick padding on the ground, remove the clutch, then lift back up onto the stand. Some people mount it from the exhaust side using the engine mounting bracket, but that always crazy to me considering the amount of weight on that area of the block.
I don't have an engine stand myself, preferring to lift the engine block around by hand, actually two hands. Aaarrrrr, lift ye mateys!!!
