Engine turning over slowly when hot

Post by nicktheviking »

It's pretty hot here today and the last couple of starts I made, the starter would just turn over very slowly and not catch. I'd have to try two to three times and then let it sit for a minute. Eventually it will catch. Very annoying. This only seems to happen when it's hot.

you'll need to check for a voltage drop to the starter, but that usually indicates a failing starter

Crud, I suspected it might be going out. Oh well, guess I can replace it with a more modern unit.
