I have just received a 132ac1 engine for my '78 Spider. My research tells me this is the 118 hp European version of the 1800cc. If true that makes me very happy! But.......what problems can I expect when installing it? Will the flywheel from my old engine be useable? Alternator brackets? Emissions equipment etc...etc....etc...
It has the carb, intake and exhaust manifolds but nothing else.

Re: 132ac1 engine
I don’t think the anti pollution system will fit
The European model has no holes in the cylinder head for the air injection tubing, no place to attach the air pump to the cylinder head, even the EGR valve might not fit.
Do you really need to have it in order to pass inspection?
If the number is 132AC1.000 then it’s an 118hp motor exactly the same that I have installed in my -75 Spider.

Re: 132ac1 engine
I am not worried about the emissions stuff. It is a warm weekend car only. Plus there are no inspections in the state I live in.
