Dual intake anyone
hey every one,anyone out there have a dual intake for the 1800(78). looking to upgrade from the single 32. i already have headers and free flow exaust. should i be doing the heads and cams at the same time?

To take full advantage of a dual carb setup you will need either performance cams, higher compression pistons, or both. You can always buy a bigger single carb that will bolt onto that manifold like a 34ADFA, a 32/36DGEV, 36ADL, or a 38ADL
A 40 DCNF can also be made to fit with an adapter plate.
Removing the emissions equipment, (if no emissions in your area), gasket matching the intake and head ports, running a bigger single carb, and installing a free flow air filter will give you noticeable improvements and power for minimal cost.
However, even some of the bigger single carbs like the 38, and 40 will at the least require a performance cam on the intake side.
