I saw a post on another forum that Al Consentino has passed away.
Al was a unique individual who raced Abarths and Fiats through the 60s and mid seventies. He was the owner of Forza Faza an importer of all manner of go fast parts for Fiats and purveyor of exhausts, wheels and so on for all kinds of cars. He likely had the largest selection of Italian alloy rims in the US (new ones are still in his warehouse). He was also an artist and illustrated the ads we all saw in numerous car magazines as well as his tomes about racing cars.
He was an unusual man who slowly fell into the depths of a mental illness which eventually brought his business to a halt. If you read through his web site you can see the descent.
Al will be missed and we can only hope his passing was peaceful and brings rest to his soul.
