1800 head for 2 L FI

I'm putting a 1800 head onto a 2 L block for a FI engine.Tonight I put the cam towers on the head.
On the exhaust side of the head are four threaded holes,I'm guessing for polution control for the carb'd engine. What does one use to plug these things? size?

Thread size is 12mmx1.25. You can use old wheel bolts. Cut the Wheel bolt head off and make a slice so yo can use a regular screw driver to screw them in. Or buy pretty hex bolts from McCaster-Carr

raises the compression. Found that one is limited as to what one can do to really increase engine performance with a FI.(If I have this right you need more air and more fuel to get more hp then cams headers ect.+ $$$$) I'm in the process of building an engine with HC pistons with a 1800 head,stock cams and a header. I believe this might help mid range as I wanted a quicker acceleration from say 40-50 mph to 60-70 mph. to pass the wankers puttering on the only road to town.

The road was made for fiats. winding with half the distance re-paved two years ago and the other half paved two months ago. There happens to be god knows how many freeking wineries the 10 miles to town, and the toureestas seem to ignore the traffic backing up and putz away till the next place to swill. Having 007's Aston Martin from Thunderball would be nice to have on occasion, or if some semblance of courtesy were to happen...pull over.
