What's this bag?
what the heck is the bag in this pic. i haven't gone out to the car to actually follow the tubes anywhere. is it a coolant overflow bag, or washer reservoir? why a "bag"? did they all come this way? is there a tank replacement I can get?

I guess that one nice thing about it is that the bag shrinks depending on how much fluid is in it. It's nice to not worry about fluids sloshing around that might impact performance. although I highly doubt that little bit of fluid would cause any Autocrossing issues anyway.mdrburchette wrote:I don't recall seeing anything but a bag for the Spider. They take very little space and if the bag's replaced and the engine compartment cleaned up it would look fine.

well, I've decided to replace it with a tank, cause the bag has a tear down by the pump and is just too worn to try to patch. I haven't really seen that part in any catalogs, but replacement tanks are a dollar a dozen, and if I have issues with getting the stock pump to work with it then I won't sweat just getting a new pump that matches my tank. Not like fiats only run with a specific washer pump! In my vast amounts of spare time I'll research this tank located in the cowl, cause it at least sounds like it'd be cool to look into....Mad-Machine wrote:I believe the very last spiders had a tank. I agree that the cowl mounted resevours are the way to go. I am intending on finding one for my 77. However, do know that you will need to replace the cowl to use it. As the resevour is totally hidden beneath it, it is specially made to allow the cap to poke through and provides the mounting tabs to hold it.
