Poll: If money was no object
Ok you just won the lottery, a rich uncle died, you won a lawsuit, etc...etc... Which of the two would you buy? Don't say both!

Fiat Dino Spider: The Fiat that wants to be a Ferrari: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bigtimes_fiat/3844729954/
I would buy the Fiat dino, I think its the sexiest car in existance, something about those front fenders and the grill opening that gives me the chills. Even with all that money I'd probably still do all the work on the car myself.

It's the Dino for me too. Much more handsome, and it's a Fiat too!

I prefer the 275 GTS. I am not a fan of the FIAT Dino front fenders. The lines of the GTS are similar ( the way it flows back from the fenders/hood to the windshield/doors) to the FIAT Spider, in my opinion. Plus I can't argue with 300 ponies from a V12 and a near perfect weight balance.

Fiat vs. Ferrari? C'mon... That Ferrari would be parked in my glass garage overlooking the bay getting buffed with a cloth diaper.
Re: Poll: If money was no object
275 GTS, because you cant do this in a Dino!

Like the Fiat Dino,Love the Ferrari 275,really love the Ferrari Dino 246.Ferrari purist dont acknowledge it because it is only a 6 cyl.I could have both Dinos, with money left from my winnings, for what a fender for the 275 costs!

Re: Poll: If money was no object
It's the GTS for me. When I was a young boy of 16 my then girlfriends father owned an exotic car dealership. He offered me the GTS at the time for 12k which I thought was a great deal. After much initial laughter I convinced my parents I was responsible enough to own and drive it(I actually was a good kid, what happened?) anyways they finally gave in. So I thought great I am almost a Ferrari owner, I could just see it, my beautiful blond girlfriend by my side with the top down cruising along the beach. Then I started calling all of the insurance companies in the phone book. Most of them actually thought I was prank calling them by asking how much it would cost to insure a 16 year old boy for a convertible Ferrari, many actually laughed while they were hanging up on me. I finally got one company to make a real effort and check for me and they came back with an annual cost of just over 5K. No matter how I crunched the numbers there was no way that was going to work so the dream was dashed. Every time I see that car I still almost cry. So this is why I have a Fiat. Her father said, "You know what son this Fiat Spider is a close to a Ferrari as you can get with out owning one." and that's when my love for the little Italian car started. Her father must have been nuts, he let me drive almost any car I wanted to take his daughter out on a date. If I had wrecked any of those cars I probably would still be paying for them today.
I still want the GTS!!!

Re: Poll: If money was no object
Gunsmith, that's almost an identical story as the one I'm about to disclose.
Back in 1979 while working at Pratt & Whitney during it's best times I was an engineer 1 year out of FSU and I was driving down A1A north of the Blue Heron Bridge, there was a small used car dealership which dealt with high end cars, there was a 1972 Ferrari Dino 246 GT Fly Yellow in the glass showroom for $21K which I really wanted but had no way to store in a garage, tried to find a way to do it but alas bought a 1968 Corvette instead... what a mistake at the time and now... I wish I could have done anything possible to turn back the clock but no... three months later the car was gone and the dream of owning that Ferrari dashed with the time.
I'm very happy with the Fiat and get the stares but I only could imagine the looks and stares of driving the yello Dino to my favorite Starbucks every weekend.

I've always thought the Dino was pretty "prom queen" sister to our Spiders. They're great, but the Ferrari is awesome!

Fiat Dino. Even though money is no object,I would think the dino might be easier to look after.
My dream car is of course a 246 gts in red. Seen the advertised in europe $150000 to 250000 usd. Wonder what the 250 would be worth today?
Sigh... still love my 124 best though... no payments and is running great at the moment (touch wood).

I like the Ferrari. I just think its a bit classier, plus its a Ferrari. More powerful, but cosmetically it appeals to me more. The Dino sure is original looking, and its a bit of a tough choice.

Re: Poll: If money was no object
I would go with a Bertone Dino Coupe, probably the early version though the late one looks just as good.
I guess I am just a coupe kind of person

Re: Poll: If money was no object
never saw the appeal of the Dino. On the other hand the 275 is on my short list of most beautiful cars. And these days, when money truly is no object - maybe congress will buy me one!
Re: Poll: If money was no object
It's a very tough choice. But, if I had that kind of money I wouldn't buy either one. Aston Martin DB9 every time Sorry Fiat lovers
