From Asemblyman Jeffries website, (One of the only ones that contacted me back opposing annual smog checks for cars 15 years and older in CA). Anyone want to buy a nice house in CA?

I'm hoping that many of you have heard of the ''Cost of Government Day.'' According to Americans for Tax Reform and the Center for Fiscal Accountability - the Cost of Government Day (COGD) is the specific day of the calendar year when the average American worker has earned enough gross income to pay off his or her share of the spending and regulatory burdens imposed by all levels government (federal, state, and local).
In the year 2000 American workers worked from January 1st till June 29th to meet all the costs and regulations associated with Government. Last year (2008) the average American worker had to work from January 1st till July 16th just to pay his/her share.
Unfortunately the news gets worse.
In 2009 the Cost of Government Day has moved all the way to August 12, 2009 for the ''average'' worker in America. However if you live and work in the Golden State, the average California worker has to work until August 23rd, 2009! We ranked 47th out of 50. That is to say those workers in 46 other States were allowed to keep more of what they earned!
If you would like more information on COGD, please visit their website.

If your going to Frisco make sure you wear some flowers in your hair. If you don't have any hair just stick em in your ear.
