A case of mistaken identity

Post by rlux4 »

Take a look at my car:

Image

Does it look like a silver Buick to anyone?
I got a parking violation reminder notice in the mail that my car (my license number, vehicle description; silver Buick) had gotten a parking ticket in the city of Riverside, Ca. last month.
I was in Riverside about 10 years ago, but that's about it. It seems strange that they could track my address down by the license number, but didn't notice that my car is a RED FIAT!
A call to the Riveside courthouse cleared it up.
I think some meter maid has dyslexia.

If Buick made cars that looked like that, GM might have survived on its own.

How come nobody said MG? That's what someone asked me on Friday, "Is that an MG?". I didn't know what to say.

You say " Are you kidding? You really don't recognize a Ferrari when it's sitting in front of you?"

Same thing happened to me about 27 years ago. Two police officers came to my door with a WARRANT for my arrest for a $39.00 traffic ticket for illegal parking. Had my plate number for my 1981 Honda Civiv GL. The car listedon the warrant was also a buick. The detectives made a couple phone calls, laughed a little, and bid me farewell. Never heard another thing about it. Alls well that ends well.
