I need a longer hose, are these Silicone Vacuum Hoses from IAP for that purpose?http://www.international-auto.com/index ... p&pid=6016 Thanks.

the lunch box air cleaners are open all of the way around, they don't normally have any hoses attached

Mine does. It goes to the oil separator under the intake. The fittings are different sizes so I had to get a reducer and use two different sized hoses.

This is the air filter I'm talking about http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/product_p/f1005.htm In which the hose goes into.

me too. you gotta find a reducer then use a smaller hose. the hose from the cyclonic trap will not be the appropriate diameter for the fitting supplied with that air breather.

look real close and you can see two hose clamps, one on either side of my reducer

sorry, didn't interpret that you were asking about the breather hose. If you reduce the opening from the breather hose, expect oil leaks. Reducing the diameter creates excess crankcase pressure. You're better off leaving that hose off the air cleaner and using a stand-alone filter in the end of the hose

I Installed a Spectre part number 3992 breather filter on my '76. It's designed to clamp around a 3/8" hose barb I believe, but you can actually clamp the large crankcase hose around the outer silicone portion of breather. It's about the perfect size.

Will that air filter work on a ADFA? It is exactly what I have been looking for!! They dont list a application for my carb...how much difference is there between the ADFA and the DFEV??

I had a co-worker with CNC machine access make me an adapter to go from the 32 ADFA to the standard 5 1/8th diameter round pattern. My center stud system could be refined, but I used what I had in the shop. I wanted to install a cold air intake type system on mine. I've got one installed now, but all I could find was a Spectre system, and it's pretty big. Obviously, I've got a lot of work to complete in the engine bay, and am almost embarassed to post this. Here's the Spectre intake system installed

I bought one that was for a different webber carb. I had to cut the opening on the base plate to make it fit the ADFA. It took about 10 minutes to modify everything.

I think I saw that one listed. K and N makes it, and so does another company. The only reason I didn't go that way was because they said the bolt pattern was different. I figured I'd just have one with the correct bolt pattern made. Otherwise, it looked like a die grinder would take care of the rest of the fitment issues.
