Completly Hooked!!

Today I drove my spider 145 mi round trip to watch the guys run that Brava 131 at the Texas Lemas race. It was awesome! They have not made too many laps but still - total awesomness!!~ Thanks guys! I hope I helped getting that gum-out! Go! Anyway, I am totally hooked. I am donating my garage and the Fiat in it to race in the next race. It's not about how much it costs for me. It's about making that car go arround that track as many times as it can. So, here it is, I have the car. I need the crew. I'm in Houston. Anyone game? Bring it! I think I have the base to start it off! I'm not joking guys! I NEED to drive in the next race!!!! I need some help to do it!!

The fall, Houston 24 Hours of Lemons was a great outing! We had a gorgeous day weather-wise, and four Fiat spiders in our little caravan to the race track, which was already a great start to the day! But, seeing that 131 out there with all the BMWs, Hondas, VWs, Mustangs and many others was a real thrill (135 cars on the track)! It was also great to be a part of the very enthusiastic FIAT group in trying to help the FIAT 131 team get the gunk out of the fuel tank and get it back on the track. With FIAT coming back to the US, we should start to see them on SCCA tracks around the country again, and I, for one, am really happy about that. I am in for the Houston-based car, and will do what I can to help out.

Just thought I would add this Pit picture I snapped with the cell phone. These guys ended up doing all right and the brava did a lot better than expected. But, I will let them tell you all that.

Looks like fun. I'm still licking my wounds over our Lemons racer. We worked so hard to get a Spider ready for the track but it just was not meant to be, but I see they have three races for Carolina Motorsports Park next year! You ready to strap on your driving shoes, Craig?
