WOW, earthquake!
Sweet! we just had a 6.5 earthquake and my garage is a wreck! The good news is that I don't think anything big hit the car in the garage, although the power was out until minutes ago, so I couldn't really tell. I thought the house was comming down, but most of the casualties were glasses and spice bottles and my screw, etc organiser in the garage. What a mess. I'm glad that I secured the totes of parts on the shelf above the FIAT with bungee cords and screw in eyes or I might be very unhappy about now! My friend had his pull down atic later fall down on his MG.

Re: WOW, earthquake!
I put the cover on the car and moved anything that could fall on the car, just in case.

Re: WOW, earthquake!
It sounds like you had a lot prepared there. Just a few more items to tie down for the next one. Glad your all right. I don't know how I would act with something like that. I never experienced one of them. My wife used to live there and had to move because of the stress the earthquakes create. Her last one was a 7.4 in North Ridge. I guess I'll keep my 25" of snow now.

Wow Trey! I'm glad everyone is okay. Like Brady, I don't know how I'd react to something like that. You were smart to be prepared.

Krissy and I saw the news last night and I told her that's where Trey and Heather live! I was going to email you but I thought you might be a little busy. Glad you guys are OK.

I think earthquakes are a man made phenomenon, funded by the glass manufactures of the world. There may also be kickbacks by the mop and broom, and waste disposal industries.

Seriously, it makes you wonder... All the petrol, natural gas that is extruded daily, And the depletion of the underground aquifers(sp?) or underground lakes...
Re: WOW, earthquake!
there were earthquakes long before man walked on earth, possibly caused by dinosaurs all jumping up and down at the same time

All you Californians better get out of there fast before the whole state shears off into the Pacific!

Re: WOW, earthquake!
Wow, Lucky there Trey. Read it was centered about 42 kilometers away. As annoying and frightening these can be, I'm kinda glad that the two plates are moving such that smaller quakes occur. Really scary if pressure builds to a point and the plates really make a BIG move, then all hell will break loose. This 6.5 looks bad enough.

I think Ill take an earth quake over a tornado any day. I was in a high rise when that northridge quake hit, man was that an experience.
