Temporary install

No!! that is not rust but wax undercoat in the wheel well.

Side view of both. My side moldings are also GM color. No wheel caps installed as yet

Okay! Spot what is terribly wrong that I overlooked in this picture??

laughing.... Matt wins being the first to notice the white behind the grill. Grill and horns are in gunmetal and I forgot to paint the blasted rad surround. So a removal and another paint job in the near future. Bruce gets second place. Jaime does have a good eye for all the other missing items.manoa matt wrote:The white paint behind the front grill. The new door weather stripping that needs to be trimmed.
yep.... Working my bloody butt off to have it ready so we can go tear up the town together. Upholstery starts next week then a new exhaust like I put on yours. Yours sounded so Ferrari when you and Chris left Sunday it got me all excited if you know what I mean.courtenay wrote:I'm going with the white paint behind the grill too. Are you ever making progress in a hurry!! You've made great strides since Chris and I saw you on Sunday!!
I was going to say that somehow you accidentally put the heavy tube bumpers back on...SpiderJim wrote:Okay! Spot what is terribly wrong that I overlooked in this picture??
Go for the jugular... laugh. If I went with lighter or no bumpers my car would sit up another couple of inches. Cannot afford to cut anymore spring height off.perthling wrote:I was going to say that somehow you accidentally put the heavy tube bumpers back on...SpiderJim wrote:Okay! Looks identical except not chromed. The only issue is that your original is very thin so making them in anything but metal is not very strong. This morning at 6am I hand made a thicker one using yours as a template. I think it will be much stronger now. My molding chamber is down until I get a valve so cannot make the mold for a day or so. I'll knock you a couple of the thicker ones off and send with your caps ASAP. Again thanks for the loan of the originalKingme2 wrote:Pininfarina badge looks sharp... from a distance...
So, turned out sharp, what's it look like close up?? Reproduction looks similar to the original?
Ridgid with a little flex enough to form around bends. Can be heated in the oven to form aggressive bends if desired then stiffens as it cools.Kingme2 wrote:yeah, I was wondering if the thickness would be an issue (came to me when I visualized shipping
The mold material... is it "flexible" or ridgid?
