Does anybody else have a similar switch buried in the driver's door opening? I'm stumped as to what it might be. The switch might not even be doing anything currently because I saw a cut wire in the vicinity behind the driver's left foot panel.

A clue or two would help. From your signature it looks like you have three Fiats (Bravo!). Which one are we looking at?

Re: name that switch!
It doesn't look original. It was likely related to an alarm.
Fiat did have years with multiple pin switches like the one to the left. The metal push pin switch you have there I doubt was made by or installed by Fiat. Pull it out and see what its attached to.

Re: name that switch!
This is for our 1980. I haven't seen any sign of an alarm system in the car, though that's what I was suspecting it might be for. Maybe a kill switch also, but the car still works with it in either position.

Re: name that switch!
I don't have any 1980 experience, but my '73 also has two switches on the driver's side; one for the courtesy lamp, the other for the ignition key buzzer. Might that be the case with your car?
